Positive ID co-founder Jeff Haefner began his career in the tradeshow profession in 1992 as an exhibit builder at Skyline in St. Paul, Minnesota. Due to his leadership and dedication, he soon was promoted to project manager within the rental division and, in 1999, he was named director of convention services for Atlantic Skyline in Pennsylvania. In 2008, he partnered with Chris Miller to form BuildTask LLC dba Positive ID, a full-service I&D company built on a commitment to professionalism and excellent service to exhibitors and exhibit houses of all sizes.
Positive ID co-founder Chris Miller started his career as a union carpenter with Local 8 in Philadelphia. He was formerly manager of I&D in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware for Atlantic Skyline, which he had joined in 2003 as a service technician. He also headed Atlantic Skyline's rental division. In 2008, he partnered with Jeff Haefner to form BuildTask LLC dba Positive ID, a full-service I&D company. In 2009, Exhibit City News named Chris as one of 40 up-and-coming exhibit industry professionals under the age of 40 in recognition of his work ethic, dedication to clients and how-may-we-help-you attitude.
A native of western Pennsylvania, Rob Beatty relocated to Maryland and, in 2005, became a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 491. His primary focus was tradeshow exhibits. He joined Positive ID in June 2008, and since then he has installed and dismantled exhibits at halls from Providence, R.I., to Virginia Beach, Va. He is proud to put his creativity and craftsmanship to work for the benefit of Positive ID clients.
John began his career in the trade show industry in 2003 after deciding to leave the telecommunications industry. He resides in Virginia and has been a member of Local 491 since that time. Well-versed in all custom and modular exhibit types, John enjoys meeting and visiting with exhibitors from different parts of our country. When he is not on the trade show floor, John spends his time relaxing in the great outdoors of Virginia.
A veteran of the tradeshow industry, Donny began his career in 1994 with Skyline Manhattan. Today, as a member of the Positive ID team, he travels the United States as a lead technician and customer service supervisor on behalf of Positive ID clients that need a full-time representative of their company in the exhibit space throughout the event. With Donny on the scene, clients can be confident that all aspects of the event come together correctly, on time and professionally.
Dave began his career working for Federal Express in New Jersey. In 2004, he joined Carpenters Union Local 8 and completed four years of training, specializing in framing and finish carpentry. Dave has continued to hone his carpentry skills while also training and becoming a lead technician for Positive ID. He resides in New Jersey and enjoys travelling I-95 to all of the trade show venues within Positive ID’s reach.
Bladimir Ventura began his tradeshow career as a union carpenter in 1999. He has travelled internationally with clients’ exhibits ranging in all sizes and from various manufacturers. Eagerly waiting to display the core values that Positive ID was built on, Bladimir firmly believes that all clients, whether exhibiting in a 10' Inline space or sprawling Island configuration are to be given an equal amount of attention, dedication, and professionalism. Sarah's passion for creating 3D environments lead her to work with architectural firms during and after graduating from design school. She was introduced to trade shows in 1994, working in client relations and design at an exhibit house for over 10 years. In that role, and as Events Manager with a PR and marketing agency, Sarah has approached events from different perspectives—as an exhibitor, a designer, builder, logistics and marketing manager. She knows firsthand that a key element to successful event programs is collaboration with a capable I&D company that knows the business. Sarah is proud to be a part of the Positive ID team.
Since he became a part of the tradeshow industry in 2004, Raj Mahanti has performed a variety of roles, from project manager to installation-and-dismantle technician. A detail-oriented individual who takes great pride in his work, Raj is also a student. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration and is currently working on master's degrees in environmental management and business administration.
Mike began his career as a union carpenter in 2000 after finishing four years of carpentry school through Local 1050 in Philadelphia. When not on the trade show floor, Mike still takes pride in perfecting the craft of finish carpentry. A well-rounded worker, Mike is well versed in all aspects of tradeshows and exhibitions, and he specializes in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the installation or dismantle of our clients’ custom exhibits.
